Oxeye Daisy

 Hello there,

On today's card, I stamped the outline with a light grey shadow ink instead of the usual black.  What do you think, do the flowers look more natural without the hard outline, or it's too pale to stand out?

I was inspired by the lovely coneflower from the inspiration photo below:

Challenges:

Supplies:

Ranger Distress Ink (Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Peeled Paint, Uncharted Mariner, Aged Mahogany,  Vintage Photo)
Altenew Warm Grey Enamel Dots

Thanks for coming over to my blog, have a sweet day!

Thinking of You on Die Cut Divas

 Hi,

I am back with another Flower theme inspiration project on Die Cut Divas today.

It's has been many years since I had the idea of documenting my garden and the flowers in it by the means of a scrapbook album.  Somehow many suns and moons have passed, I just never got around to do it.  But today, today I decided to start, not a scrapbook album, but an art journal.  My intention is to make a page for each of the flowers I have and had.  I am starting with the Pansies.

On a colored mix media paper panel I did some ink blending.  I took a couple sentiment stamps from Altenew Build-A-Flower: Coral Charm and stamped with archival ink.  Next I applied Volume Paste thru a stencil in selected areas.

While this dries, I die cut and water colored the Pansies flowers and leaves. Adding details with coloring pencils.

Once the background is completely dried, i distressed the edges slightly, then adhered the Pansies onto the page.  To truly make it my own, I hand wrote "thinking of", the meaning of the Pansies in Chinese on to upper right hand corner.

Our April challenge theme on Die Cut Divas is Flowers, and our generous sponsor, Altenew is giving a $50 gift card to the challenge winner.

Supplies used for my project:

Simple Stories Doily Stencil
Stamperia Volume Paste
Ranger Distress Ink (Peeled Paint, Weathered Wood, Uncharted Mariner, Vintage Photo, Seedless Preserve)
Ranger Archival Ink (Acorn)
Black Marker
Prismacolor Coloring Pencils

---

I really like how this turns out.  Now that I've got the flower theme art journal started, I will keep it up and share my future pages with you.

Thanks for coming over, I wish you a fabulous day!

Caffeinated Christmas Card 2025-Apr-03

 Hello,

I am so delighted to be guest designing for Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge this month.  The theme is: Use coffee and/or cocoa.

And here's what I created.

A big cup of hot chocolate topped with cream and peppermint candy canes sure will warm you up!

My cup (Hero Arts Tea Cups Infinity Dies) is decorated with rub-ons (49&Market ARToptions Holiday Wishes) and edges distressed (with Ranger Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry).

The background (Pinkfresh Studio Snowflakes Coverplate Die) and candy canes (Hero Arts Candy Cane Fancy Die) were simply die cut and assembled.

The most fun part of this project is that cream, I hand-drew an outline of the cream shape on a piece of white cs, then applied Ranger Distress Grit Paste (Snowfall) carefully and shaping it at the same time.  Next I sprinkled Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Powder at selected area.  Once this all dried, I adhere all the elements to the card.

I really like how this turned out, and I hope I've inspired you to play along.  Hop over to Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog for the link up.

Thanks for visiting me today, have a good one!

Filled with Joy Card on Die Cut Divas

 Hello, how are you doing?

No, no joke from me today.  Just a bright card to cheer you up.

The Diasies Die set I used has been retired, but if you like daisies, the Craft-A-Flower: Daisy Layering Die Set will the be the perfect substitute.

The background is done using Altenew Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die.  To add a bit more interest, I sandwiched a piece of Rose Gold Decorative Foil between the cover die and my cardstock.  There is enough pressure to press the foil into the debossed areas giving them a bit of shine.

It's the first day of April, and a new challenge begins on Die Cut Divas Challenge Blog.  Our challenge theme this month is: Flowers.  Our sponsor this month is Altenew, and they are generously giving away a $50 gift card as the challenge prize.

Go grab your favorite flower stamps and dies and come join in the fun.  Just click the Monthly Challenge button on the right side bar on the Die Cut Divas blog page to link up.

Supplies:

Altenew Lovely Daisies Die Set (Retired)
Altenew Japanese Anemone Outline Stamp Set (I used one of the sentiment from this set)
Altenew Handmade Tags Die
Altenew Metallic Thread (Antique Gold)
Hero Arts Ombre Ink (Butter to Orange)
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)
Sizzix Effectz Rose Gold Decorative Foil

Panda-stic Birthday

 Hi,

Besides the cuteness of the Lawn Fawn critter, I really like their word-play.   For their Lawn Fawnatics Challenge - 192 All Things Birthday,

I made this platform pop-up birthday card.

I used the I Heart Pandas stamp set and matching die, All The Smiles stamp set and matching die for this card, and the Platform Pop-up die set.  The word Birthday is from the Pawsome Birthday stamp set.  And I borrow gifts and party hats from Sunny Studio Party Pets stamp & die.

All images are colored with alcohol markers.

Thanks for stopping by, have a panda-stic day!!
